Jonathan Pollard says Montaperto's punishment is unfair
"According to a statement of facts submitted in the case, the information Montaperto supplied to the Chinese included top secret details of the sale of Chinese military equipment and missiles to the Middle East. Thanks to a plea deal Montaperto will be sentenced in September to a term of no more than 10 years -- possibly less," according to Pollard's website.
We'd like to see 66 year-old Montaperto get more, too. But he's cooperating fully, according to the terms of his plea, and he'll stay in the clink for life if he doesn't. If memory serves, Pollard was not a cooperative convict. The Chinese spy is to be sentenced in September.
Jonathanpollard.org continues, "Jonathan Pollard is currently serving his 21st year of a life sentence with no end in sight."
Thank goodness.
